Dr. Guan is an assistant professor in the School of Industrial Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. He received his dual B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Economic Decision Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai China in 1998, his M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in Hong Kong in 2001, and his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta GA in 2005.
Dr. Guanjoined OU in Fall 2005. He had previously been serving as an instructor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research interests include integer and combinatorial optimization, stochastic programming and their applications in production planning, transportation and logistics as well as medicine and health care.
Yongpei has published in Mathematical Programming, Operations Research Letters and Operations Research Spectrum. He has served as referee for Mathematical Programming, Management Science, Naval Research Logistics and Computational Optimization and Applications.
