Undergraduate Spotlight

Tara McDaniel

Tara is an IE senior who is also participating in the five-year MBA program through the Price College of Business. She originally hails from Edmond, Tara McDanielOklahoma. Tara chose IE because it was the appropriate fit for her talents and provided a wide array of coursework options. As to why she chose the University of Oklahoma, Tara reasons that OU is "close to home, but not too close. And, the Football!"

At OU, Tara has found several diverse avenues for campus involvement, including Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, the Panhellenic Association, Habitat for Humanity, and the Institute for Industrial Engineers. What she likes most about the campus is that it's "like its own little city" and lists Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, site of OU football games, as her favorite spot on campus.

David is involved in a number of campus organizations, including Orientation Programs, LEAD Team, Crimson Club, Sooner Promise Student Mentor, and the Campus Activities Council’s High School Leadership Conference.  His favorite spot on campus would be a South Oval bench “by the Pittman fountain with Bizzell Memorial Library in the distance.”

His favorite spot on campus is, as he puts it, "The Fred," otherwise known as the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art.
