Stubsten David A. Stubsten, Industrial Engineering Sophomore received the President’s Award for Outstanding Sophomore at the annual University Awards ceremony Friday, March 28, 2008.  David’s academic awards and honors include the President’s Award for Outstanding Freshman, the President’s Honor Roll, the OU College of Engineering Dean’s Honor Roll, the OU College of Engineering Distinguished Freshman Award,  and Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Regents Scholar, to name a few.  David excels not only academically but in service both to the university and community, from his involvement in the Campus Activities Council High School Leadership Conference (HSLC) where he helped create an entire weekend leadership conference for 120 high school juniors, to his participation in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cleveland County.

As a sophomore, David became involved with a peer educational group called the Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Team through the Leadership Development and Volunteerism Office. While David is focused towards the betterment of the university and the community he is also involved in the College of Engineering Engineers Club.
